Used engine oil and eligible oil containers are listed for collection. Cooking oil is a different waste stream.
Free collection applies to eligible program materials. Other items in a mixed load may have separate charges. Local quantity limits need confirmation.
Before you go
- Keep motor oil separate from antifreeze, fuel, solvents and other products. Tell staff if the oil is mixed or its contents are uncertain.
- Bring eligible empty oil containers to the automotive collection area, not the household-packaging bin.
- Use original or clearly labelled containers with tight lids; keep products separate and ask staff for help if unsure.
- Hartland accepts residential sources and quantities from within the capital region. Ask about the declaration required for a commercial or non-profit hauler.
Mon–Fri 9 am–5 pm; Sat 7 am–5 pm. Closed Sundays and holidays. Local Pacific time.
